Floyd Selomo | Director

Floyd Selomo is an attorney with approximately eight years practicing experience. Mr Selomo holds an LLB degree (University of Pretoria) and an Advanced Certificate in Prospecting and Mining Law (Wits). He also holds N1, N2 and N3 National Certificates in Electrical Engineering (Waterberg FET College). He is currently completing his LLM – Corporate Law (Unisa), and he is studying towards an MBA (Regenesys).

Mr Selomo undertook his articles and was a Candidate Attorney at Bell Dewar Inc. (now Fasken Martineau) and following completion of his articles, he was appointed as an Associate in the Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution Department, for approximately two years. Thereafter, Mr Selomo became an Associate at Webber Wentzel, in the Mining Department (Integrated Mining and Construction Industry Solutions Practice Group), for over a year. He was then appointed as a Senior Associate at Hogan Lovells (South Africa), in the Mining Sector, for approximately two years, prior to founding Selomo Attorneys Inc.

He has extensive experience and expertise in respect of practice areas relating to Corporate and Commercial, Litigation, Employment and Labour, Mining and Mine Health and Safety. In addition, Mr Selomo is also well versed with the practices and procedures of the Magistrate’s Court, High Court, CCMA and Labour Court.

During his time as a student at University of Pretoria, Mr Selomo was selected as Judge of the Student Court, which formed part of the University’s disciplinary system, and was elected as a member of the Executive Council and Vice President of Kollegetehuis (one of the University’s residence). Furthermore, Mr Selomo was on the Dean’s List of Merit.
